It was opened in 1932. Listed as a municipal and state historical heritage site due to its architectural characteristics.
Built in reinforced concrete and coated with a special Cirex mortar, it is undergoing restoration on the facades, restoration of internal stores, new waterproofing, floors, construction of new bathrooms and electrical and hydraulic installations.
